Why Choose My Music Studio? |
Leonie is a fully qualified piano teacher and a fully accredited member of the Victorian Music Teachers Association. Leonie attends regular teaching workshops and webinars in order to keep up to date with new methods and techniques. Leonie wants the best for each student and is always looking for ways to motivate students and make music studies enjoyable. Leonie spends time thinking about which resources suit each student, and then looks forward to seeing the student enjoy what they are learning. |
Methods |
Leonie uses a lot of resources to engage students which include: Wilbecks Easy Notes, which uses characters and stories to engage the students whilst learning notes; percussion instruments to tap out rhythms; and digital apps such as Noterush, Staff Wars, NoteWorks and Flashnote Derby.
Why is it that students suddenly gain energy when given the option of some digital game time? 😍 |
Recitals |
Leonie plans to hold a small recital twice a year in order to encourage regular practice with a purpose, to give students practice playing in front of people in a safe environment, and to practice dealing with nerves. |
